We had a fun afternoon at the McManus household today. Tina, Cheryl and I drove over to help pack up books and start filling the temporary storage units as Niza and Alex are quickly approaching a move. Alex called us Navy Seals of the church, or something like that (correct me if I’m wrong!). I like that idea… that we have a mission, we subversively move in, accomplish our goal, and get out. A mission of love and movement. Beautiful. So that was the deep thought for the moment. There was thick stress and emotion but laughs grew and tensions alleviated as progress was made. I really love these people!! Here are some pics of the afternoon.
Extreme muscles with this guy!
Alex, hard at work at nothing (he said his work was invisible).

The lovely Cheryl packing books

I wasn’t trusted with this delicate job, but these ladies showed me how it’s done.

Beautiful pics. It looks like you had fun and worked extremely hard. I’m sure you felt a sense of accomplishment! When you said Navy Seals I imagined you all with walkie talkie radios “Staci - problems in the kitchen. Our supplies of paper have diminished. Need help immediately. Bring back-up. Roger. Over and out”
loving your avatar picture. Rx

You guys are funny! Rachel, nice scenario there. Actually, it was more like, code red, we’re out of boxes! Hey, how about we rest for a while as Niza and Tina run to the store to bring more packing supplies? And now, as a result of the move, I have acquired some friendly new pets — two fire-bellied frogs and a water dragon, both living in my room, much to the pleasure of my three cats (don’t worry Niza, I only let the cats lick the lizard, no biting!)
I miss you Sam and Rachel, and I can’t wait to hang again with you Niza! This move WILL end. Prayers sent your way…
