Super Hero Dreams

If you were a super hero what would you be called, what would your powers be, and who would you focus on saving?

Hey, StaciJoy!

Thanks for the welcome! I do enjoy the “joy” in your moniker. Is it your name also?

Re:your superhero question. Quite frankly, I would rather not be a superhero - too many people already think they are…. I just wanna be little ol’ me and do what God has called me to do and be!

In his grip!

Yes, it’s my middle name. Thanks for the kind words regarding it :)

I appreciate your comment regarding super hero status. I haven’t thought of it that way before and I’m glad for the fresh gust of a new idea. It’s cool to find someone who actually wants to be who they are… it’s something I hope to attain to as I keep on living, as I’m quite certain I won’t wake up with super powers one morning!

BTW, since you do not know me, I am quite a strong woman. But I have sought the attitude of a servant for awhile now. I chose to surrender my strengths to the Lord. Ego is not my game. I am sometimes misunderstood because of my rather deep and complex discussions, but I work on lightening that up too.

I also have the benefit of being older… experience has its benefits. And time provides lots of opportunities to realize affirmed faith. Super hero is about ego. Faith is about surrender to the Super Hero.

Still thinking the Joy is cool.

Thanks for giving me a little “inside” information. You might laugh, but I could tell from the comments you leave on others’ pages that you are a strong woman and that you have the benefit of experience. I confess to you now, I always read your comments carefully in light of the post, as you often give good advice, solid encouragement, and/or pokes of fun and connection toward the individual. I have come to value how you communicate and what you say… late confessions of a blogging spy!

“Faith is about surrender to the Super Hero.” That clicks with me now. I know I will never be able to don powers like I can put on a coat, and yet there’s this incredibly strong desire in me to LIVE the supernatural. None of that comes from me, but maybe, just maybe, He’ll choose to work through me? I like to believe it can be true. Thanks again, Sally, for your thoughtful words.
